Logline: When a veteran female combat pilot is sent to shoot down a hijacked passenger plane flying in restricted airspace, she discovers one last minute problem…her family is on board.
Synopsis: Colonel Kara Cullins-Wright, a 20-year veteran Air Force combat pilot and fighter wing commander, is on the verge of retirement.
Her husband, Jay, a retired ex-Navy Seal, has to catch a flight to Phoenix from San Diego with their young daughters to care for his mother who is on the verge of Alzheimer’s.
But when Jay’s flight is hijacked by HAMAS Terrorists, who maneuver it into restricted airspace, a fighter jet is scrambled to shoot down the flight. The only problem? Kara is the one ordered to shoot it down.
This sounds very, very interesting. Would love to see this made! Only challenge I see is that it would be very difficult for Hamas terrorists to gain access to a US based domestic flight. Could it be changed to her Israeli born Shayetet 13 (Israel’s version of the Navy SEALs) husband and their kids are returning from a trip to Israel to help care for his mother? Might make the plot more plausible?
It’s almost life following art. I blame undercover Russian funding for these groups. Plus the (proposed) weapons of mass destruction smuggled onboard . . . A boom! - both ways. It ups the tension . . .
