This was a terrific drama, for sure. But, also, there’s some excellent comedy mixed in. Some great writing all the way around. I hope others take the time to read this one. They’ll enjoy it.

In general I really wanted to write a story that was distinctly Korean-American since that experience hasn’t really been explored despite the significant surge in Korean-related media. For the general premise of the story I was really inspired by Jim Cumming’s work in Thunder Road, and I like to think that the dialogue and family dynamics are kind of Succession-esque.
Excellent Job! Good characters, developed well and some nice funny moments. I liked the sibling dynamic and the way David was mirroring his Dad’s life only to realize that covering things up may not be the best way to deal with problems. This should definitely be in the next round!

This was great, it felt like a Korean reimagining of Death at a Funeral. I could also see the Succession influence in its dialogue, plot and characters. Such a shame this didn’t make the Top 10, but hopefully it gets made someday.
