My goodness. Too many to count. I dislike all the hype and I get all prepared to watch what is supposed to be a really good show but come to find like ten minutes in I am out of there (Streaming). And dubbed movies? Don’t even get me started.
Hey there. What’s the most popular show you’ve bailed on? Any hot takes?

I’m sorry to say I walked out of one film in my life. It was Troll, starring Sonny Bono (of the Sonny and Cher Show). Maybe it got better after 15 minutes.

I almost walked out of Kids - and kind of wish I would have.
It was a teenager, probably not old enough to see the movie either, so I think it was a little bit of a power trip for him. But in retrospect he put me into the better choice of movie so it all ends well.
Mad Men. I’m sure I’ll go back to it at some point, but didn’t really care about a bunch of smoking cocky douchebags at first glance. :-)
JOKER. I walked out when he hooked up with the girl he was stalking. If i remember the actress was black. Yeah for diversity but I also thought it was insulting. I thought it was insane this guy was stalking her. She knew it and she hooked up with him? I was at the DGA and walked out. My Private RYAN because the first 15 minutes were to violent but I eventually did see it. My great Uncle told me stories about WW2 as a child. He was on the 9th tank across the RHINE. War hero. I was a sensitive kid. his stories disturbed me. Black HAwk DOWN. TO violent. I did not make it through the first 15 minutes before I walked out. I was on a date. I love horror films but if the movie is TOO REAL to the point I am triggered by real events i really can not deal. I spent the film in the lobby eating pop corn.
Wait but the neighbor was only imaginary? That didn’t actually happen.
Black Hawk down was very real and so was Saving Private ryan. I was talking about BLack hawk at that point.
You just reminded me. I was in a film at SHRIEKFEST called CHEMICAL 13 and I went to the festival. my Producer gave me a ticket to the event. I went and saw a horror film that was a mock snuff film. Basically the concept was it was supposed to appear as if these film makers were making a horror film while actually killing people. Well it was so realistic I got up and left. I appologized to the film maker the next day and he said my walking out was ok. He saw it as some sign he did a good job making the film. that is a 4th film I walked out of. It did not happen. It was not real, But I could not handle the leve of violence in the film anyways.
And I remember what the film maker said. he said that he wanted some people to walk out. to him it was a sign he did a good job making a horror film if a few people walked out.
Well remembered! That’s really interesting, thanks for sharing!
My memory is terrifying even to me. Though as I get older i am becoming a bit more normal. I remeber things from when I was 2 years old. I am MENSA qualified. I scored a 700 on the analytic section of the GRE. Mensa sought me out. I had tested as having an IQ of 150 at 11. Reading ablity of a 12th grader in the 6th grade. At the same time it is why some people in the industry labelled me crazy. They did not believe my attitude. I could cold read like a pro at acting because of my memory but looked NORMAL well sick. I had cancer. The reason I walked out of JOKER is I could tell it was going to be sexist without seeing the entire film. Experience. Knowledge and I spent decades here in Los ANgeles being judged by sexist standards. I did not break though because well I was told at 11 I was smarter than everyone else but I was not the favorite kid in school. It gave me perspective. We need smarter better movies. Movies with messages and meaning and complexity attract my attention. Violence and sexism and cruelty for cruelt sake turn me off. So this guys response I could not forget. It is troubling to me that we may develope a culture that would accept that level of violcnce on screen as acceptable.
