A Nevada sex worker must choose between starting a promising relationship with a divorced single mom or saving his doomed relationship with an engaged actor.
This feels like such a timely screenplay, it would fit right in on a Letterboxd playlist alongside Anora, Challengers, Saltburn, et al. These kind of elevated romance / drama hybrids are having their moment in the sun right now and I love the way that it feels like nothing else in the world matters beyond the characters.
This was so good. I felt the weight of the emotional labor. Thank God Sawyer chooses Kerry because I was ready to slap Finn.
Nice to meet you Alice. If you liked Experienced Boyfriend, you might like That In-between Period, have you checked that one out yet?
If @meara likes it, it’s going on my list of scripts I have to read! I love the logline. Feels like the 90s.
I will. Have you read all of the entries?
I have! If you’re a fan of this, That In-between Period and The 47-hour Weekend are maybe the most similar - they’re dramas with some comedy aspects, but not haha funny like Mob Mentality or The Mullers. We have such a great roster this year, so you can’t really go wrong!
Before I vote does voting for multiple scripts cancel out? Should I only vote for what I want to win or will I be nullifying myself?
Hey Alice, there’s no down side to voting for as many scripts as you like. Rate honestly, maybe save your highest marks for your absolute favourite, but you won’t be cancelling out. Happy voting!
