Looking forward to the reveal. It’s such an interesting choice. To me, the script with the highest ceiling AND highest floor is Cooperville. Feels like the movie’s floor would be: cult classic. Ceiling: buzzy hit. Composer, to me, is the surest bet…with a narrow gap between its floor and ceiling. Not sure it has hit potential…but, it’s an almost guaranteed good watch. It’s my kind of movie. Mob Mentality looks like the biggest risk in my book. If it works, it hits. If it misses…hoo boy…there is no floor. But, hey, that’s comedy, right? I have several of those high ceiling low floor scripts in my portfolio. Anyway…very interesting mix. Can’t wait to see what the choice reveals about Kinolime’s company strategy.
Hey Paul, interesting insight – I hadn’t thought about it quite like that. Just a reminder; the winner is dictated by votes, not by Kinolime internally. We have no say in which of the final three bags the prize. We will endeavour to do the best we can by whichever screenplay succeeds!
Thanks for the clarification Meara. For some reason, I understood it to be Kinolime’s choice with heavy input from the votes. I had more power than I knew!!!
