When the self-driving car he created traps him inside, a young tech executive must survive a high-speed game of life and death to uncover who’s really in control.
It was a fun read, but I guess my main issue with the ending is: would the essential, vital, all-important “brain” of a tech company’s whole existence be open to the public and right in their lobby, set-up on a silver platter to be completely destroyed?
Otherwise, I really liked the way the cars came together to escape the police helicopter.
Hi!
Thanks for giving Override a read and glad you enjoyed it. I had a lot of fun with this one and happy to hear that that’s coming across.
Appreciate the feedback as well – in my head, Max is arrogant and his greatest weakness is his hubris which makes him believe he is infallible, therefore he would show off his greatest creation in the most arrogant way possible. The tech world (and finance world) is full of real world cases of hubris backfiring. (Of course there may also be a secret backup somewhere, how else would you setup the sequel?
