Request for Feedback on My First Script – Knights & Dragons

My name is Alex, I’m a writer from Chile, and I recently finished my first full screenplay titled Knights & Dragons. I’m an amateur writer with many ideas and a deep passion for storytelling — especially through animated films, which have inspired me since I was a kid.

While this is the first time I’ve written a full script (or anything this long), I’ve always enjoyed creating stories and writing short tales. Developing this film has been an exciting and emotional journey for me, and I hope to keep learning and growing as a writer.

To help guide the reading and provide more context about the direction and purpose of the film, I’m also including a dossier alongside the script. I would be very grateful if you could take a look and share any feedback you might have. I’m not only looking for notes on what could be improved, but also a general sense of how the story works, what feels strong, and how it stands in terms of industry expectations.

Here’s the log line:

The knight was supposed to save the princess from the dragon — but when both dragon
and knight realize the princess has darker plans than being rescued from a tower, they must
set aside their differences and unite to stop a war she has carefully orchestrated between
knights and dragons.

Thanks for your time and I genuinely hope you enjoy the story, I put all my heart on it.

I haven’t read the script yet, but just wanted to say that your logline has a fun twist on the classic fairy tale. Love that!

Thank you. That’s the idea, to re-subvert and already subverted trope.

Thank you for sharing Knights & Dragons. I found the script genuinely interesting — the twist on the classic knight-princess-dragon dynamic was fresh and engaging, and it’s clear you’ve put a lot of heart and thought into the story.

I’m looking forward to seeing more scripts from you in the future. Keep writing and exploring — you’re off to a strong start!
