The Hunger Cafe

When a homeless British-Nigerian woman stumbles into a hidden café that has fed London’s invisible poor for twenty-three years, a developer’s demolition order forces her to become keeper of something she never intended to inherit.

Very nice story, with some good sympathetic characters.

Seemed like a lot of unfilmable exposition and description though, perhaps a narrator or voice over can be used to fill in a lot of this atmospheric color? I also thought immediately, “why doesn’t the big development just set aside some space to keep the community food kitchen going?” so it didn’t seem like that big of a compromise when they were forced to do it later.

Definitely enjoyed the script though, congrats!
