I love the way the writing brings to life the actions of the camera as the story unfolds. Something about the creative flow drew me in to want to see how the story unfolds. Wonder what you enjoyed as the story built up,.
The lack of dialogue and the excessive descriptions caught me off-guard at first, but as I went on, I was impressed by how many things are said here without even needing to. Loved the commentary on consumerism and human connection, the music score, and the romantic reveal at the end.
This screenplay is about sound. The “protagonist” — mechanical sounds — clashes with the “antagonist” — electronic sounds. A very powerful and original technique.
If the protagonist were not a photographer but a watchmaker secretly repairing mechanical clocks, the screenplay would only benefit.
