Mob mentality

UPDATE 06/11/2025
With the help of the Kinolime team I was able to vote on this and believe the specific problem was identified. I use a browser and had zoomed the page to 130%. I noticed the tracker indicators (on the bottom left and right) were behaving weird (but, being new here, I hadn’t realized that behavior was weird). When I un-zoomed back to 100% suddenly I was able to successfully cast my vote (no error message, no “You skipped ahead”, and my original vote and comments had been retained so I basically just had to submit it again).

From a software standpoint it makes sense that the zooming could confuse the software. I’ll go back to voting on some other favorites and thanks, Kinolime, for the help. And thanks, el8990 for this great entry that I’ve read, like, three times now.

I’m newish here, still figuring things out. I’ve tried to vote on various entries and, so far, only gotten “You skipped ahead” and “Error on our end, try again later” messages. I can’t even imagine how skewed the actual results are.

My vote for this (“Error on our end”) was something like “About the most original thing I’ve read in a long time and a treasure chest of comedic gold”. Right up until the scene with the clock in the basement I was torn between hoping Nate-John would get his revenge and hoping Nate the kid would take Edina’s advice. Amazing. A crime if this doesn’t get produced, no pun intended.

A little late to the party but I read this two weeks ago and have since re-read it. Unbelievably imaginative. When are the podcasts / table reads coming out? Excited to see how this one translates to the screen.

I read this a few days ago, and I really liked it. The amount of research put into this script is admirable, alongside its memorable characters and the way it pays homage to gangster movies. Very funny throughout, too.

This week I’m pretty sure. What scene do they film? Got to be one with Nate but which one?

I’m mainly a horror fan but kudos to the writer for ramping up the tension in this. Went so hard! I was begging Nate not to pull the trigger by the end.

Just saw the table read. Its the early scene where we’re introduced to Nate and his parents on the way to school. Funny stuff.

Hey there, welcome to the forum. Thanks for reading Mob Mentality, make sure you’ve cast your vote before Friday the 11th. We’ll be livestreaming the announcement of who the audience has picked as the winner on our website and social media.

Set up an account just to implore anyone who hasn’t to vote for mob mentality. So funny. As an Italian American, I found it so refreshing to see this mob stuff ridiculed instead of celebrated. Nobody will be offended by this! I listened to the other screenplays and while good horror films are a dime a dozen right now. When was the last truly hilarious comedy? Vote Mob and make sure this wins! Please.

Hey Sab, thanks for joining us and for taking the time to contribute. We’re glad to hear you’re so passionate about Mob Mentality. I’d love to hear your take – along with anyone else’s – what was the last great comedy? Personally, I can make a strong case for Booksmart in 2019 being the last great straight-up comedy. Seems like everything is a drama/comedy, action/comedy, some sort of hybrid now.
